Dependent on their quality and speed requirements, users can chose between 5 different scan modes. The A4 speed in "normal mode" (150 dpi colour/greyscale and 300dpi black & white) is 8 sheets per minute when AC powered; when powered through the USB interface the speed is reduced to 4 sheets per minute. The ScanSnap S1300 is designed for easy operation. Simply press the "Scan" button and let the S1300 handle the rest, including paper size detection, deskew, automatic image orientation, auto colour detection and blank page removal. The automatic feeder holds up to 10 sheets at a time for continuous feeding. Bundled software applications offer various output options.
